David W. Miller, 75, of Richmond, OH, passed away July 6, 2016 at Dixon Healthcare Center, Wintersville.
He was born December 11, 1940 in Bloomingdale, OH, a son of the late Ellis and Hazel (Hendrickson) Miller.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Alice (Beebout) Miller and granddaughter, Nikki Wright.
He was a member of the Richmond United Methodist Church.
He served his country in the United States Army and Ohio National Guard.
Dave retired from Wheeling Steel after 27 years of service.
Dave devoted his full time to being a Salem Township Trustee and a resident of Jefferson County for over 50 years.
He was past President and Salem Township Trustee for 12 years, past President of Jefferson County Association and Jefferson County Regional Commission, Chairman of Yellow Creek Watershed, Jefferson County Advisory Board of Health, Emergency Management Damage Assessment Coordinator, Jefferson County Issue II Subcommittee, American Legion member Post 740, Jefferson County Township Roads Committee, Assistant Scout Leader for 6 years, Past member and secretary Richmond Volunteer Fire Company for 18 years, Past member and President Richmond Emergency Squad for 16 years.
He was also an avid, Cleveland Browns and Indians fan as well as Ohio State Buckeyes fan.
Dave is survived by his sons, Micheal (Carla) Miller of Steubenville, OH and Mark (Jennifer) Miller of St. Petersburg, FL; daughter, Jodi (Stephen) Hinkle of Granville, OH; brother, Ellis (Patty) Miller of Beaver Creek, OH; sister, Linda (Ned) Moran of East Springfield, OH; grandchildren, Josh (Tiffani) Wright, Aaron Wright, Stevie (Jessica) Hinkle, and Shane (Stefani) Hinkle; and great grandchildren, Jayden, Kameron, and Cooper Wright, Brantley, Chloe, Ayva, and Anya Hinkle.
Friends and family will be received at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 110 W. Main St., Richmond on Saturday, July 16, 2016 from 2 PM until time of the memorial service at 5 PM with Pastor Georgette Gaston officiating.
