David R. Richards, Sr., 45, of East Springfield , Ohio passed away May 28, 2012 , at his home.

He was born January 31, 1967 in Steubenville , OH , a son of the late Homer and Anna Mae ( Davis ) Richards.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his niece, Ashley Richards.

Dave served his country in the United States Air Force.

He is survived by two sons, Dave, Jr. (Shelby) Richards, Knoxville and Bradley (Shelby) Richards, Annapolis; two daughters, Dani and Taylor Anderson; granddaughter, Julia Richards; brothers, Robert Richards of Amsterdam and Gary (Amy) Richards of Bergholz; sisters, Charlotte (Tom) Conner of Raeford, NC, Diana (Steve) Brancker of Amsterdam, Barbara (Roger) Chivers of Elizabeth City, NC; and sixteen nieces and nephews; and 22 great nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 110 West Main St. , Richmond on Friday from 4 PM until time of funeral services at 7 PM with the Reverend Allen Jeffries officiating. Military honors will follow the funeral service by the Ohio Valley Memorial Veterans Squad.
