David E. Hope Sr., 81 of Richmond, Ohio passed away on March 16, 2024 at his home with his loving family by his side. He was born September 7, 1942 in Steubenville, Ohio a son of the late Pearly and Dorothy (Wood) Hope. In addition to his parent's he was preceded in death by two brothers, Bob and Bill Hope.

David was retired from Weirton Steel where he worked for 38 years and loved playing cards in his spare time. He was a member of Bell Chapel Methodist Church. David was a Veteran of the US Navy.

David is survived by his wife, Lois (Carter) Hope; son, David (Suzanne) Hope, Jr.; daughter, Heidi Winkler; sister, Jane (Frank) Bigler; grandchildren, Matthew Hope, Elizabeth Hope, Hannah Winkler, and Lillie Wilson; sisters-in-law, Paula Hope and Linda Wells-Hope; many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Rd., Wintersville on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 AM with Pastor Jeff Proya officiating and entombment will follow at Fort Steuben Burial Estates.

The family would like to thank Valley Hospice for their care and compassion for David during his illness.
