David L Voght

David Lee Voght, 78, of Adena, Ohio, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2026, after courageously fighting cancer for 23 years.

He was born on March 31, 1947, in Martins Ferry, Ohio, to the late Alec and Ann (Sancreek) Voght. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Babette Voght, and his sons, Michael and David Voght.

David proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. A common man of Jesus. He found great joy in the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. David was always willing to lend a helping hand and was known for his generous spirit. He was a devoted animal lover and cherished the companionship of his pets. He retired after 33 years of dedicated service with Norfolk Southern.

He is survived by his son, Zachariah Nathaniel Voght; and his sister, Dianne Voght.
