DELPHA "JEAN" DEAVERS, 84, of Richmond, OH, passed away Friday, December 4, 2009 in the Sienna Woods Nursing Center, Wintersville. She was born in Trumble, Ohio, December 9, 1924, a daughter of the late Frank and Sarah (Kempton) Young. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Nelson Deavers who died February 22, 1999, and by a brother, Ralph Young, March 19, 2008. She was an active member of the Two Ridges Presbyterian Church, Wintersville and the M. Abigail Circle at the church. She was a loving mother and grandmother to her children and their families. She is survived by her son, Byron and wife Cindy Deavers of Richmond; her daughters, Nancy and husband Woody Ostrow of Pittsburgh, PA, Susan and husband, Michael Koroly of Akron, OH, and Donna and husband Donnie Hearn of Belmont, OH; by her grandchildren, Nicole (John) McCart, Megan (Issac) Evans, Ben (Allison) Gelman, Sarah Gelman, Molly Ostrow, Allison Koroly, and Jacob and Issac Hearn and by one great-granddaughter, Bella Evans. Her brothers who survive her are Lloyd (Dolly) Young of Wintersville, Charles (Jane) Yound of Richmond, Paul (Marilyn) Young of Wintersville, Terry (Carol) Young of Richmond and Marty Young of Steubenville. She is also survived by one sister-in-law, Betty Young of Richmond. Friends may call at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Rd., Wintersville on Sunday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM where funeral services will be held at 11 AM Monday with the Reverend Doctor Bill Lawrence officiating.
