Richard "Dick" Burch, 71, of Richmond , OH went to his Heavenly Father on Friday, June 28 with his loving family at his side after a valiant, but brief fight against Multiple Myeloma Cancer.

Dick was born October 2, 1941 , son of Frank and Delphia Williamson Burch. He was preceded in death by his father Frank Burch and a brother Billy.

He leaves behind a family who loved him dearly including his wife of 50 years Edwinna Channels Burch, his mother Delphia Burch, 3 daughters - Dianne Paice of Richmond , Sharon (Bob) Krusey of Mercer, PA, Janet Mayle of Richmond , 2 brothers - James and Kenneth (Marlene), 9 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.

Dick was a member of the East Springfield United Methodist Church of the Cross. He enjoyed trips with his wife to Sugarcreek and always enjoyed stopping at a good garage sale. He also loved his faithful Newfoundland companions Molly and Tiny.

Dick touched many lived during his time here and will be sadly missed by many.

During his fight, Dick received several units of blood. A memorial blood drive will be held Tuesday, August 6 ^th from noon to 6:00 PM at the United Methodist Church of the Cross, State Route 43, East Springfield . The family is asking for donors to help give back to the Red Cross and pay it forward for those who are still in need. Appointments are recommended and can be made by visiting redcross.org.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Church of the Cross, Music Department.

Friends may call at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 110 W. Main St. , Richmond on Sunday from 4-8 PM and again on Monday from 12 Noon until time of funeral services at 1:00 PM Monday. Pastor Tom Snodgrass will officiate and burial will follow at East Springfield Cemetery .
