Dixie Lee Saltsman 81 of Bergholz, Ohio went to be home with the Lord Thursday, March 26, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Dixie was a retired educator working for Youngstown City Schools, Edison Local, JVS and Columbiana County Ext. She was a member of Lisbon Christian Church and attended Bergholz Methodist Church. Dixie taught bible study and was a secretary for the Northeast Jefferson County Food Pantry. Dixie's passions were helping people and teaching about our Lord's gift of salvation for all.

Dixie was born May 25, 1938 in Lisbon, Ohio a daughter of the late Ross and Marie (McMillan) Carlisle. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Leroy Saltsman; two sisters, Elaine Scheel and Twila Carlisle.

She is survived by two sons, Eric (Lisa) Saltsman and Ross (Barbara) Saltsman; three daughters, Diane Saltsman, Susan (Richard) Coffy, and Lisa (Scott) Kowalczyk; sister-in-law, Luanne Russell; grandchildren, Kayla, Mallari (Tommy Riley), Justin, Arika, Trevor, Jocelyn, Nathan, Katelin, and Alivia; great-grandchildren, Gracie and Jordyn.

Private family services and burial at Bergholz cemetery are being held for Dixie.
