DONALD D. OHLER, 54, Amsterdam, OH, passed away Monday, July 10, 2006 at the home of his brother and sister-in-law, Clyde and Patti Ohler of Wolf Run, OH following a brief illness. He was an employee of Allen Box Co., Bergholz, a Protestant by faith and was a veteran of the US Marine Corp. Donnie was a lifetime member and the former Commander of the Powhattan Point, (OH) VFW Post 5565; was a member of the Amsterdam Moose and a member of "Dutch's Gang" in Amsterdam.
He was born October 17, 1951 in Dover, OH, a son of the late Clifford and Marie (Froelich) Ohler. His wife, Dora Jane (Echols) Ohler died February 21, 2002. In addition to Clyde and Patti, he is survived by his nephew, Hank Ohler of Witchata, Kansas; by 2 brothers-in-law, Albert L. Echols, Powhattan Point and Patrick A. Echols, Arizona; by 4 sisters-in-law, Jean (Warner) Mills, Bergholz, Eva (Gary) Yeager, Jewett, Josephine (Jeff) Sommer, Alaska, and Sandra (Todd) Hannigan, Baskin Ridge, NJ. Donnie had a lot of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends who loved him very much.
Friends may call at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 285 Second St., Bergholz from 5 - 7 PM Wednesday where a Celebration of Life Service will be observed at 7 PM.
