Earl James Kirkland, 53, of Richmond , OH , passed away Tuesday January 8, 2013 at his home.

He was born September 16, 1959 in Steubenville , OH , a son of Judith Ann (Murphy) Kirkland of Richmond and the late Earl Kirkland.

In addition to his father he is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, James Kiler and Nellie Grace (Coffman) Kirkland and maternal grandparents Cecil Delmar and Mabel Marie (McLaughlin) Murphy.

Earl was a hard worker, good friend, great brother, and loved his mom, dad, and family. He was a devoted Cleveland Browns fan.

In addition to his mother he is survived by his sister, Debra (Robert) Grimes of Bloomingdale; brother, Tim (Susan) Kirkland of Pennsylvania; and niece, Shelby Kirkland of Pennsylvania .

Friends will be received at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 110 W. Main St. , Richmond on Friday from 3 PM until time of funeral services at 7 PM with Pastor Ronald Murphy officiating.
