Edwin Lee Williamson 98 of East Springfield, Ohio passed away October 25, 2021 at Gable Care Center, Hopedale. He was born August 31, 1923 on the farm where he still lived in East Springfield, Ohio, a son of the late George and Anna (Taylor) Williamson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Julia Maxine (Woods) Williamson, whom he married May 30, 1952 at the Wintersville United Methodist Church. Also preceding him was brothers, Paul, George, John, and Jim; sisters, Alma Schoonover, Margaret Powelson, Naomi Smith, and Delphia Burch. He graduated from Amsterdam High School in 1941 and worked as a welder after. He served in the Navy during WWII and retired from Starvaggi Industries after 38 years. A lifetime of Christian service, loved by many, Sunday School teacher for 59 years with many grateful students.

He is survived by a brother, Robert F. (Nancy) Williamson and many nieces and nephews.

Friends and family will be received on Thursday at the East Springfield United Methodist Church of the Cross from 11 AM until 2 PM. Funeral services at the church will follow at 2 PM and burial will take place at Fort Steuben Burial Estates, Wintersville.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the East Springfield United Methodist Church of the Cross.
