Eleanor Hanby Gache, 89, of Wintersville, OH, formerly of Beaver Falls, PA passed away Friday morning, July 29, 2022.

Eleanor was born the first child to the late J. Lawrence and Edith Seigworth Hanby. She was married to her high school sweetheart, John, for 65 years. Eleanor graduated from Garfield Business Institute in Pittsburgh, PA and was employed at Geneva College in Beaver Falls, PA and St. Stephen's Episcopal Church on Lovers Lane, Steubenville, OH. She was active in local organizations, including Brentwood United Methodist Church, the Women's Club of Wintersville and the Jefferson County Republican Party. She was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates fan.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John, two of her sons, James (infant) and David, and her two brothers, Robert and Dean Hanby.

Eleanor is survived by her sons John and Larry, daughters Carole Sayre and Laurie Hutton, daughters-in-law Mary Wisnieski Gache and Gaila Greggo Gache, son-in-law Bill Hutton, sisters Eloise Hanby and Elaine Bell, sister-in-law Ellen Gache, seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at the Brentwood United Methodist Church Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at 10:00 AM. Burial at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies at 2:30 PM, August 9, 2022, 1158 Morgan Rd, Bridgeville, PA 15017.
