Elizabeth V. "Betty" Rowe, 79, of Bergholz , Ohio , passed away May 10, 2011 at Trinity Medical Center , Steubenville , Ohio following a brief illness.

She was born January 27, 1932 in Steubenville , the daughter of the late Edward and Josephine Acconey Plemmons. In addition to her parents, she is preceded by her husband, William "Bill" Rowe who died October 29, 2004 , and one sister, Lucille Turvey.

Betty was a lifelong resident of Bergholz who was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved making a home for her family.

Betty is survived by her sons, Donald (Margie) Rowe of Bergholz and Todd (Judy) Rowe of Cumming, GA, a daughter, Linda (Gary) Griffith of Bergholz; 5 grandchildren, Tangee (Dale) DeVore, Megan (Todd) English, Ashley (Ryan) Forish, and Evan and Ethan Rowe, one great-granddaughter, Daleanee  DeVore, and one sister, Sandra Dunn of Boise, Idaho.

Friends will be received at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 285 Second St. , Bergholz Thursday from 6 - 9 PM where funeral services will be held at 11 AM Friday with Pastor Rick Chappelle officiating.

Burial will follow in the Bergholz Cemetery .
