Elizabeth "Bette" Elliott, 85, formerly of Wintersville passed away Sunday, September 20, 2015 at the Carriage Inn of Cadiz. She was born July 26, 1930 in Musselburgh, Scotland, a daughter of the late George and Hannah Marshall Montgomery. Bette lived a long and beautiful life despite her 45 year struggle with Syringomyelia. She was an inspiration to all those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by three children, Gordon (Barbie) Elliott of Cadiz, Ohio, Lorraine (Rick) Schmied of Wintersville, Ohio and Michael (Arlene) Elliott of Tallahassee, FL; four grandchildren, Greg (Karla) Schmied of Canal Winchester, Ohio, Brett (Lauren) Schmied of Columbus, Ohio, Karl (Susan) Rodriguez of Raleigh, NC, Shelley (Stephen) Paulus of Tallahassee, FL; four great-grandchildren, Kendelle and Braylen Schmied, Alexis Franklin and Kathryn Rodriguez.
