Obituary
Elsie L. Peggs, 95, of Richmond, OH, passed away at 4:46 PM, December 6, 2016 at Trinity Medical Center West under the care of Charity Hospice, Steubenville, OH.
She was born May 13, 1921 in Amsterdam, OH. She was the daughter of the late Micholas "Mike" Lenkey and Sophie Lenkey.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; brothers, Albert, Nick, and Bill Lenkey; and her son Gary.
Elsie was a graduate of Amsterdam High School. She enjoyed helping plan class reunions. She made many friends working at the old Grey's Drug Store and later Thrift Drug Store in downtown Steubenville.
Although she did not attend services, Elsie was a member of Richmond United Methodist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary of Ohio. Elsie enjoyed gardening, especially growing and tending her flowers. Her hobby was sending cards and letters to friends and family.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Gordon and Tina of Tampa, FL. Sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Paul Gregor of Amsterdam, OH. Sister-in-law, Betty Stoaks of Follansbee, WV, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2016 from 5-7 PM at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 110 W. Main St., Richmond where funeral services will be held on Friday at 1:00 PM with Pastor Georgette Gaston officiating.
Burial will follow at Richmond Union Cemetery.
