Emery L. Byron "Abe", 93, formerly of Amsterdam, Ohio passed away on March 9, 2025 at his home in Lisbon, Ohio in the care of his loving family and Southern Care Hospice. He was a proud Marine Veteran and a member of VFW Post 232. He was preceded in death by his parents Walt and Thelma (Preston) Byron; grandson, Emery Shaun Byron, and great-great grandson, Thane Byron; sisters, Evelyn Merrin, Marybelle Schultz and Betty Fairclough.

Surviving are his wife of 69 years Mildred (Teichman) Byron, daughter, Kathy Tulodzieski; sons, Walt (Wilma) and Randy (Brenda) Byron. Grandchildren, Jennifer Tulodzieski, BJ Tulodzieski, Randy (Chelsy) Byron, Christian (Samantha) Byron, Michah, and Jesse Byron; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter.

He enjoyed his family first and loved his hobbies, night coon hunting and had a passion for his chickens. His memories will be cherished always.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 from 5-7 PM at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 285 Second St., Bergholz. Funeral liturgy with mass will be celebrated 11 AM on Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Amsterdam. Burial will follow at Bergholz cemetery with Military honors.
