Ernest F. "Buddy" Carson, 81, of Wintersville, OH, passed away October 27, 2015 at Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville.

He was born April 6, 1934 in Knoxville, OH, a son of the late Ernest O. Carson and Viola (Hand) Carson Parks.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brother, Melvin Carson.

He graduated from Jefferson Union High School.

Ernest served his country in the United States Marine Corps.

He worked for Trinity Medical Center West and Community Action Council Steubenville as a housekeeper and Satralloy as a laborer.

He was Protestant by faith. Ernest enjoyed crafts, outdoor sports, hunting, and fishing.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Shirley (Fischer) Carson; daughter, Janet Matello; son, Ernest "David" Carson of Wintersville; sister, Bertha "Jeannie" Cline of New Alexander; grandson, Jason Matello and fiancée, Statie; and great grandchild, Hailey Matello.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, Wintersville.
