Ernest J. Toth, 73 of East Springfield went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, April 17, 2007. He was in his home surrounded by his loving family. Ernie was a veteran of the US Army and was retired from Weirton Steel where he worked as an Electronics Foreman in the Tin Mill Dept. for 47 years. He was a member and trustee at Christ United Methodist Church, East Springfield. Ernie's membership included New Cumberland Masonic Lodge #22 AF and AM, Scottish Rite of Steubenville, Osiris Shrine, Past Potentate 2000, Wheeling, WV, many clubs and units of Osiris Shrine, past Captain Arab Patrol, past President NPSC, OES #360 Unionport, Past Patron, White Shrine # 1 PWOS, Wheeling, WV, East Springfield Senior Citizens, ROJ #13 Wheeling, WV, past President East Springfield Community Center, cub scout leader pack #144, and coach and president of many East Springfield Baseball Association teams.
Ernie was born November 10, 1933 in Tiltonsville, Ohio, a son of the late Andrew and Susie Lorincz Toth. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters Helen Toth and Margaret Gamble. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Jeanne Gilmer Toth formerly of New Cumberland, WV. Beloved sons Richlynn Toth and his children Cory, Nicole, and Brandon of Cranberry Twp., PA; Richard (Laurie) Toth and their children Lindsay, Ryan, and Sean of Valparaiso, IN; Randall (Catherine) Toth and their children Rachel and Michael of Tampa, FL; Ronald (Gina) Toth and their son Sam of Middletown, OH. A loving and care giving daughter Cynthia (Ed) Gregor and their children Andrea, Jessica, and Samantha of Richmond, OH. A brother Andrew Toth and family of Canton, OH, brother in law Kenneth ( Elizabeth) Gilmer and family of Tampa, FL.
Join us in a celebration of his loving and giving life at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 110 West Main St., Richmond on Thursday from 6-8 PM and on Friday from 1-3 and 6-8 PM. Celebration of life service will be Saturday 11 AM at the funeral home with Reverend James Stafford officiating. Burial will follow in East Springfield Cemetery with graveside Masonic services.
