Ernestine M. Swinehart, 84, of Richmond, Ohio, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2024. She was born on October 15, 1940, in Hammondsville, Ohio, to the late Ernest and Alice (Wenning) Wade. In addition to her parents, Ernestine is preceded in death by her brother, Wenman Wade.

Ernestine was a faithful member at the Mt. Zion Methodist Church in Irondale, Ohio. She was involved in a bowling league for many years and loved to travel to Panama City Beach with her family. Ernestine was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

She is survived by her loving husband, H. Douglas Swinehart; her daughter, Theresa 'Terry" (Gary) Maguire; her sons, Steven (Kathleen) Swinehart and Brian (Jennifer) Swinehart; her brother, Ronald Wade; her grandchildren, Tescily England, Kelani Maguire, Doug, Tim, Greg, Will, Caelin, Cannon, and Cara Swinehart; and her great grandchildren, Tauriel and Teylie England and Perrin Swinehart.

There will be a memorial service held at the Richmond Methodist Church in Richmond, Ohio, on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 2:30 P.M. with Pastor Mark Thomas officiating. A luncheon will follow at the church.
