Eugene "Gene" Arbogast, 82, of East Springfield, Ohio, went home to be with Jesus on February 4, 2023. Gene was born to the late Elva and John Arbogast on April 4, 1940, in Elkins, West Virginia. In addition to his parents, Gene is preceded in death by his sister, Ellen English and Cheryl Miller.

He loved being out on the road driving the "Big Rig." He also loved to bowl, and he loved his dogs, Lazzie and Shaggie.

Gene was united in marriage to Audrey Crites on November 18, 1994, and is survived by his son, James (Holly) Crites; his daughter, Peggy (Alan) Glass; his seven grandchildren, Chloe, Ben, Jacob, Jasmine, Courtney, Cody, and Megan; and several nieces and nephews.

The celebration of life for Gene will be held at the Amsterdam Church of God on Thursday, February 9, 2023, from 11 A.M. until time of service at 12 P.M. with Pastor David Guess officiating. A luncheon will follow.
