IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Eugene N
Linn
September 21, 1943 – June 9, 2020
Eugene N. Linn, 76, of Richmond, OH, passed away June 9, 2020 at his home.
Gene was born September 21, 1943 in Wheeling, WV, to the late Eugene N. Linn, Sr. and Genevive R. Jaworski Linn Dunfee.
Besides being reunited with his parents, he is now at eternal rest with his beloved wife, Pamela C. Linn, whom he dearly loved.
Gene proudly served his country during the Vietnam War as a noncommissioned officer in the army as a dog handler. He received recognition for pistol and rifle marksman, and the Vietnam Service Medal. He also worked as an Ohio State Patrolman until 1973, and eventually retired from Weirton Steel Corporation.
He was a member of Wintersville Legion Post 557, Jefferson County Sportsman's Association, and a faithful servant of the Lord thru St. John Fisher Catholic Church.
Surviving are his daughters, Lori (Shawn) Roe, of Mingo, Christine (Michael) Thomas of Steubenville, and Kristy (Shea) Matthews of Hampton, VA; grandchildren, Brittany (Michael) Terenzetti of Mingo, Shawn Roe, Jr. of Steubenville, Gabriel and Alexandria Thomas, Ethan and Lucas Matthews; great grandson, Giovanni Terenzetti; sister, Barbara (Victor) Starks of Georgia and brother, Greg Linn of Indiana. Also surviving are two aunts, Evelynn Jenkins of Massachusetts and Mary Agnes Jaworski Stanwick of Mingo. Aunt "Aggie" was more like a sister and best friend to him!
Gene loved his tools, guns, dogs, and lawn almost as much as he loved spending time with family! He will be dearly missed.
Friends will be received at Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Rd., Wintersville on Thursday 4-8 PM.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 11:00 AM at St. John Fisher Catholic Church, Richmond with Father Michael Gossett as celebrant.
