FLOYD T. GRIMES, 83, of Richmond , Ohio , passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family.

He was born July 25, 1927 , in Maynard , Ohio , a son of the late Willis and Erna Hawkins Grimes and is preceded in death by 3 sisters, Laura Thomma, Lillian Haught and Mary Belsisy.

He retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel as a brick mason, served in the US Army during WWII and was a member of the Finley United Methodist Church , Steubenville .

He is survived by his wife, Carol M. Adkison Grimes whom he married September 1951, by 5 sons, Floyd S. (Linda) Grimes, Amsterdam, Robert A. (Debra) Grimes, Richmond , David L. Grimes, Wintersville, Mark Grimes, Grove City, Ohio and Michael Grimes, Richmond; 3 daughters, Pamela (Dan) Hanick, Norton, Ohio, Tammy Pulice and companion, Ron Waggoner, East Springfield, and Michelle (John) Cook, Steubenville, grandchildren, Kimberly Gardner, Lindsey, Tyler, Spencer and Lexxus Grimes, Jimmy and Thomas Riggs, Summer Pulice, Zane Cook, Augusta and Savannah Brantley and Melissa Cihon, and 11 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Rd., Wintersville, Ohio Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM where funeral services will be held at 1PM Wednesday with the Reverend Jerry Ernst officiating.

Interment will follow in Ft. Steuben Burial Estates, Wintersville.
