FRANCES ANNA (Cosentino) CAIN, 87, of Wintersville, OH, went to be with the Lord Thursday, July 02, 2009 at Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville.
She was born in Follansbee, WV on July 14, 1921, a daughter of the late Antonia (Falbo) Cosentino who died in 1974 and James Cosentino who died in 1940. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Albert W. "Bill" Cain who died 2001; by four brothers, John, Al, Chris and Alfred "Fuzzy" Cosentino and by a sister, Helen Campiti.
She is survived by her son, Michael Cain of Wintersville, a sister, Elvira "Vida" Baker of Clewiston, Florida and several nieces and nephews.
Upon graduation ninth out of 300 in her Steubenville Big Red High School class, Frances attended the Steubenville Business College and Strayers Business School in Washington, DC. She was employed by the Federal Government during World War II (1941-1945) as a secretary in the Munitions Building in Washington DC. She worked under General Omar Bradley and typed 90 words per minute.
She returned home becoming employed at Union Bank in Steubenville and later married Albert W. "Bill" Cain on Valentine's Day, 1952. Frances also was the Assistant Manager of Cain's Service Center in Richmond, Ohio from 1978 to 1987.
She was a member of the Wintersville Church of Christ.
Friends and family will be received at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home located at 685 Canton Rd, Wintersville, Ohio across from the NAPA Auto Parts Store. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM with funeral services at 11 AM Monday at the funeral home with Pastor Imre Gulyas officiating.
Burial will follow in Ft. Steuben Burial Estates, Wintersville.
