Franklin Lee "Jock" Dorsey, 91, of Richmond , OH , passed away May 12, 2016 at The Laurels of Steubenville.

He was born May 31, 1924 in Richmond , OH , a son of the late Oscar and Nora (Peggs) Dorsey.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brothers, Oscar and Raymond Dorsey; and sisters, Betty Rospo and Irene Yeager.

Franklin served his country in the United States Army during WWII. He was very proud of his Military Service.

He worked for Laborers Local Union 809. Franklin was a member of the Richmond American Legion and Amsterdam VFW. Franklin loved baseball and enjoyed gardening.

He is survived by his children, Kenny ( Sandy ) Dorsey, Linda Grimes, Clifford (Cindy) Dorsey, Barbara (Doug) Merrin, and Carol (Butch) Laneve; 11 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren.

Friends will be received on Sunday from 3-7 PM at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 110 W. Main St. , Richmond where funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM with Pastor Georgette Gaston officiating.

Burial will follow at Richmond Union Cemetery with full Military Honors.
