Franklin J. Myers, 86, of Annapolis, OH, passed away July 30, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born June 1, 1931 in Annapolis, OH, a son of the late Benjamin F. and Beryl (Beltz) Myers.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Anna Mae (James) Myers; daughter, Sharon Myers; grandson, Curtis; and sister, Betty Gillespie.
Franklin served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War where he was awarded a purple heart.
He was a member of the Annapolis United Presbyterian Church.
Franklin is survived by his children, Carol Brownfield, Donna (Larry Miller) Myers, David (Terri) Myers, and John Myers; sisters, Thelma Cathers and Ida Porter; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grand children; and one great great grandchild; and Freda Chaney, who he loved like a daughter; and his best friends, Carl Sabol and Harold Main
Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Ever hart-Bove Funeral Home, 110 W. Main St., Richmond, where funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Kathy Anderson officiating.
Burial will follow at Ft. Steuben Burial Estates, Wintersville.
