Frederick "Fred" S. Carter, 78, of East Springfield passed away on July 7, 2013 at Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville .

He was born October 25, 1934 in East Springfield , OH a son of the late Ralph S. and Elsie O. (Call) Carter.

Fred was Christian by faith.

He retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel. Fred loved motorcycles and his three puppies.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Faye (Bausell) Carter; daughter, Julie L. (Robert Jr.) Hocker of East Springfield ; and sister, Minnie Faye Morgan of East Springfield .

Friends will be received at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 110 W. Main St. , Richmond on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 for funeral services at 11:00 AM .

Burial will follow at East Springfield Cemetery .
