Edna Gayle Carson, 83, of Richmond, OH, passed away December 31, 2014 at Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville.

She was born July 21, 1931, New Somerset, OH, a daughter of the late Edson and Muriel (Williams) Carson.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her sisters; Carol McCleary, Beverly Olenick, and Sherrill Carson; and brothers, Byron and Billy Carson.

Gayle retired from Weirton Steel.

She grew up in Jefferson County and graduated from Jefferson Union High School. Gayle was a lifetime member of the New Somerset United Methodist Church.

She is survived by sisters; Gwen (Paul) Blackburn of Richmond, OH, Eleanor (Carl) Widdig of Clinton, Mississippi, and Margaret (Robert) Jackman of Wellsville, OH; sister-in-law, Nancy Carson; nieces and nephews, and their children.

Friends will be received on Sunday at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 110 W. Main St., Richmond, OH from 12 Noon until time of funeral services at 2:00 PM.

Private burial will be held at Ft. Steuben Burial Estates, Wintersville.
