Gene E. Wells Sr., 70 of Steubenville, Ohio passed away May 28, 2023 at Trinity Medical Center West. He was born May 25, 1953 in Steubenville, Ohio. A son of the late Claude Henry and Anna Bell (Eddy) Wells. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Stephen Wells and Jack Wells; and his best friend and neighbor, Jim Constantini.

Gene was a Veteran of the US Air Force, former owner of Ground Wave Electronics in Steubenville and was retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Electronics Department.

He enjoyed taking trips on his motorcycles through his younger years, science fiction movies, night fishing at the river, and most of all enjoyed bowling leagues at Holiday Lanes and was the secretary of Weirton bowling association.

Gene was a loving father and grandfather. He is survived by his son, Gene Wells Jr.; his granddaughter, Brianne Wells; numerous nieces and nephews; and his best friend, John Carducci.

In  lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Jefferson County Humane Society.

Friends will be received for visitation at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Rd, Wintersville, Ohio, on Thursday, June 1, 2023, from 6-8 P.M. A service will be held the next day, Friday, June 2, 2023, at 11 A.M. with Pastor Bill Westling officiating. A private burial will be held at Richmond Union Cemetery.
