Genevieve Eger, 90, of East Springfield, Ohio, passed away on February 25, 2024. She was born on May 18, 1933, in Wileyville, West Virginia, to the late Robert A. and Margaret P. (Greathouse) Henderson. In addition to her parents, Genevieve is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph H. Eger; her brothers, Ralph Huggins and Earl Long; and her sisters, Ivy May Watson and Daisy Irene Greathouse.

She will be fondly remembered for her love of cooking. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends and worked many years as a cook/baker for many different restaurants. She was one of Jehovah's Witnesses and attended the Kingdom Hall in Follansbee, West Virginia.

She is survived by her son, Robert Eger; her daughters, Deborah (Yiwen) Liu and Beverly Eger; her grandchildren, Mary (Joshua) Sampson, Amanda (Anthony) Perry, and Lianne (David) Rosales; and her great-granddaughter, Violet Sampson.

Friends will be received for visitation at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Rd., Wintersville on Thursday, February 29, 2024, from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. There will be a memorial service held for Genevieve at Kingdom Hall, 2514 Eldersville Rd, Follansbee, WV 26037, at 2 PM on Saturday, March 2, 2024.
