GILBERT F. "Fred" VAN GOSEN, JR., 64, of Wintersville, OH, passed away Friday, July 10, 2009 in Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville following a brief illness. He was born August 12, 1944 in Bellaire, OH. He is preceded in death by his father, Gilbert F. Van Gosen, Sr. and by three brothers, Gary, Gregory and Roger. He is survived by his mother, Helen (Richardson) Van Gosen of Bellaire, two sons, Dennis F. Van Gosen and Stephen (Shantal) Van Gosen, both of Richmond, two daughters, Melissa (Bill) Gruber, Bloomingdale, OH and Michelle (Lance) Lakes, Connersville, IN, 6 grandchildren and a sister, Patricia Kelley of Bellaire. He retired in 2004 as a bander from the 80" at Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel. He was known as "Preacher" in the mill because he had been a licensed Pentecostal Pastor and had pastured several churches. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 PM Monday, July 13, 2009 at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Rd., Wintersville where funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday with Fred's cousin, Pastor Randy Cetorelli officiating.
