Helen Jean Starcher 67, of Richmond, Ohio passed away December 9, 2022 at Allegheny General Hospital after a brief but courageous battle with cancer.

She was born November 24, 1955 in Steubenville, Ohio, a daughter of the late Fred and Marie (Bell) Schulthies. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by an infant sister, Juanita.

Family meant everything to Helen and she never knew a stranger. She enjoyed working with the kids in the transitional workplace at the JVS cafeteria.

Helen is survived by her husband Mark Starcher; daughters, Jennifer Wilson and Jamie (Chuck) Spencer; sisters, Donna Schulthies and Bette (Bob) Evans; grandchildren, Leah Wilson, Nathan Spencer; nephews, Bobby (Stephanie) Evans and Tommy (Kayla) Evans.

Friends will be received at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Rd., Wintersville on Tuesday from 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Unionport cemetery.
