Obituary

Helen E. Swingle, 92, of Wintersville, OH, passed away Thursday evening, October 20, 2005 at the Carriage Inn of Steubenville. She was a member of the Assembly of God congregation. After a career working in industry, she spent the next 20 years as a volunteer at Christian colleges around the United States. Helen was born August 9, 1913 in Plymouth, Indiana, a daughter of the late Leroy and Ethel Grey McCray. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Swingle, who she married June 30, 1941 and who died in 1978; two brothers, Bud "Glen" and Donald McCray, and two great-grandchildren. Helen is survived by a daughter, Nancy (Justin) Brown of Pisgah, NC, three sons, Brian L. Swingle of Wintersville, OH; William D. Swingle of Richland, MO; and Dean A. Swingle of Bremen, IN, one brother, Lavern McCray of Kokomo, IN, two sisters, Betty Willis of Fresno, CA and Sandy Whitfield of Spokane, WA, nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 110 West Main St., Richmond, OH on Saturday from 7-9 PM and Sunday from 12 until time of funeral services at 2 PM with the Rev.
