Howard "Eddie" Cline, 62, of East Springfield, Ohio passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2005 at his home after a very short illness. He was a retired electrician for Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel and also worked for Gary Cain Auction Inc. as a sales coordinator. Eddie was a member of the East Springfield Vol. Fire Dept. for many years serving as Captain, EMT, and later as treasurer. He was Protestant by faith. Eddie was well loved in the community and by family and friends and gave a helping hand to everyone who asked for it.
Eddie was born December 5, 1942 in East Springfield, Ohio, a son of the late Roscoe and Freda (Bonam) Cline. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Bernard Cline and two sisters, Wanda Stacey and Grethel McCourt.
Eddie is survived by his wife of 25 years Donna Jean (Smith) Cline. Three sons, Jeffrey (Brenda) Cline of Stoutsville, OH; Michael (Carol) Cline of Pleasantville, OH, and Dennis (Nancy) Hitchcock of Bergholz, OH. Five daughters, Carla (Larry) Dulkoski of Germano, OH; Terri (Donny) Grimes of Amsterdam, OH; Karen (Jack) Davis of East Springfield, OH; Toni (Dave) Guy of Steubenville, OH; and Traci (Philip) Bridenbaugh of Toronto, OH. Two brothers, Emerson (Roberta) Cline of East Springfield, OH and Lewis (Janet) Cline of Harlem Springs, OH. Three sisters, Maxine McClelland of Mingo Jct., OH; Georgia Ramsey of Richmond, OH; and Patricia (Earl) Mallernee of East Springfield, OH. Twenty grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and his special friend Madelyn Tedrow.
Friends may call at the Everhart- Bove Funeral Home, 110 West Main St., Richmond on Thursday from 2-9 PM and on Friday from 11AM until time of sevices at 1 PM with Rev. James Stafford officiating.
