Howard D. Barker Sr., 85 of Bloomingdale, Ohio passed away September 28, 2021. He was born June 3, 1936 in Steubenville, Ohio. He was the son of the late Virdie and Gaye (Kelley) Barker. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Ruthie and a granddaughter, Mackenzie Smith; three brothers, Cecil, Jack, and Brent; two sisters, Katherine Gonguaware and Audrey Bocek.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Phyllis (Mills) Barker; sons, Howard (Brooke) Barker Jr., Robert Barker, Tim (Mary) Barker, Bonnie (Ronnie) Westfall, Marsha (Ross) Smith, grandchildren, Justin (Missy) Barker, Robert and Devin Barker, Colby Smith, Dylan Barker, Emma and Spencer Westfall, great-grandchildren, Kendall and Beau Barker; brother, Russell (Edna) Barker; sister, Mary (Bill) Wilson; many nieces and nephews.

He was a lifelong Jefferson County Dairy Farmer and was Presbyterian by faith.

Friends will be received at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Rd., Wintersville on Thursday from 1-8 PM. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Friday at the Richmond United Methodist Church with Pastor Byron Bufkin officiating.  Burial will follow at Unionport cemetery.
