Ida M. Talkington, 84 of Carrollton, formerly of Bergholz,Ohio passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at Carroll Healthcare Center. She was Methodist by faith. Ida was born August 3, 1924 in Galloway, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Moses and Mary Hetrick Maley. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Paul D. Talkington, Sr. whom she married on October 29, 1941; six brothers and five sisters. Ida is survived by a daughter, Susan (Neil) Mills of Strongsville, OH; five sons, Paul (Diane) Talkington Jr. of Carrollton, OH, Jerry (Cynthia) Talkington of Willoughby, OH, Jack (Shirley) Talkington of Richmond, OH, Willard ( Patricia) Talkington and Jim (Lisa) Talkington both of Amsterdam, OH; 14 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Everhart-Bove Funeral 285 Second St., Bergholz on Sunday from 11 AM until time of services at 2 PM. Private burial will take place at Bergholz cemetery.
