James C. Booth, Sr., 89, of Amsterdam, OH, passed away August 22, 2018 at Valley Hospice, Steubenville.

He was born January 19, 1929 in Steubenville, OH, a son of the late James C. and Elsie (Collins) Booth

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Velma F. Booth who passed away June 22, 2016; son, Richard Booth; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Booth.

James was a member of the Weirton Local # 11 BAC.

He is survived by his four sons, James (Beverly) Booth, Don (Sandy) Booth, John Booth and Joseph Booth; a daughter, Kathy (Larry) Strosnider; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 4 brothers; and 2 sisters.

Friends will be received at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 110 West Main St., Richmond on Saturday from 9 AM until time of funeral services at 11 AM.

Burial will follow at Island Creek Cemetery.
