Obituary

James A. Branum, 90, of Bloomingdale, Ohio passed away December 17, 2024.

He was born July 1, 1934 in Vermilion, Ohio, a son of the late Edward and Elsie (Peas) Branum. Jim was a Veteran of the US Army serving during the Korea Conflict in the 101st Airborne. He was employed by Local # 809 and was a 50 year member. Jim was Methodist by faith. Jim was a member of Smithfield Lodge #182 and also Past Master, Smithfield Fire Dept, and a member of Pine Valley Sportsman Club where he also served as Vice President. He enjoyed spending his time fishing and hunting. He was known as "Catfish Jim" and was loved by everybody.

He is survived by special friends Mike (Lorie) Thomas and many others who loved him.

Friends will be received at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Rd., Wintersville, Ohio on Sunday from 1-3 PM. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Hopedale Cemetery. Masonic services will be held on Sunday at 3 PM.
