James Robert "Jim" Patterson, 73, of Unionport, OH, formerly of Rush Co, Indiana, passed away on March 23, 2021 at Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville, OH.

He was born November 9, 1947 in Batesville, Indiana, to the late Earl and Frances (Matney) Patterson.

Jim was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the USMC 1967 and 1971-1973 in the United States Navy. He worked in factories most of his life before becoming disabled.

Jim was a good, loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He enjoyed taking his family camping, 4-wheeling, fishing, and hunting. He enjoyed all kind of car races and he really liked his fast cars.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kimberly Dawn; his brothers, Donald (Sonny), Wayne, and Larry; his sisters, Nancy, Norma Jean, and Martha Jo.

Jim is survived by his daughter Mrs. Becky (Fred) Sizemore; grandchildren, Morgan (Hilary), Tanner (Christina), and Breanna Sizemore; great grandchildren, Conner, Haiden, Kimmy, Rhyleigh, and Jacqueline; one brother, Ernest (Bud) and Winnie Patterson; one sister, Mrs. Janice (Bill) Rankin; nieces and nephews. Also his "adopted" family, Mrs. Le'Ann Gibbons, Steve, Melissa, Marena, Lainee, and Coal Harris.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Indiana at a later date.
