James Michael Spuriel 63 of Steubenville passed away February 26, 2021. He was born April 4, 1958 in Steubenville, Ohio a son of Patricia Cole Spuriel and Jimmy Brown. He was Baptist by faith and worked as a chef for many years. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Barbara and Gloria Spuriel and a brother, George Spuriel.

He is survived by a son, Dwante (Karen) Spuriel of Las Vegas, NV and a daughter, Tanishia Spuriel of Steubenville; three grandchildren, Saveone, Corina, and Max Mayo and a special aunt, Mary Jennings. The family would like to thank Dr. Provenzano, Dr. Clark and Dr. Figel. A special thank you to Valley Hospice for all their care during this difficult time.

Visitation will be held at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 221 North 7th St. Steubenville on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 from 10 AM until time of funeral services at 11 AM with Bishop Jermaine Moore, Sr. Burial will follow at Union cemetery.
