JAMES E. STEVENSON, 85, of Richmond, Ohio, passed away Thursday, October 07, 2010 in Valley Hospice Care Center North, Steubenville, Ohio following a lengthy illness. He was born in Toronto, Ohio, February 19, 1925, a son of the late John and Mary (Clendening) Stevenson. He is the last of 13 children. He was general foreman of the mechanical BOP department at National Steel Company prior to his retirement. He was a WWII US Navy veteran serving as an aviation mechinist and was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church. He and his wife, Kathaleen (Johnston) Stevenson celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary yesterday, October 6. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, James E. Stevenson and wife Heather of Bergholz, a daughter, Karen Winland of Sherwood Park, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; by 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at the East Springfield Cemetery with Pastor Josh Conley officiating. Interment will follow.
