Janet M. Liggett, 77, of Richmond , Ohio passed away Thursday, October 13, 2011 at Trinity Medical Center West.

She was born November 4, 1933 in Steubenville , Ohio , the daughter of the late John H. Sr. and Bertha Freiling Newman. In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her son, Rex W. Liggett Jr. and two brothers, John H. Jr. and Jan R. Newman.

Janet was Methodist by faith. She worked at Kenco Quik Mart in Richmond for many years.

Janet is survived by her loving husband, Rex W. Liggett of Richmond ; sons, Joel K. (Kristie) Liggett of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, Robert J. (Janice) Liggett of Richmond, and Mark E. (Donna) Liggett of Wintersville; grandchildren, Billie J., Jeanie K., Kevin M., Jeffrey M, Jason L. Liggett, and Lindsey M. Koch; and 7 great grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 110 W. Main St. , Richmond on Saturday from 5 PM until the time of funeral services at 7 PM with the Reverend Craig Smith officiating.
