Jeffrey "Jeff" A. Mader, 65, of Amsterdam, OH passed away on August 22, 2024 at Trinity Medical Center West ER. He was born in Steubenville, OH to the late Frank and Virgie Mader.
Jeff was a 1977 Springfield High School graduate where his quick wit and hilarious come backs keeping his classmates in stitches and smiles. Jeff always had a love of muscle cars since school. His classmates could always find Jeff in his garage working or cleaning his collection. To the amusement of his classmates Jeff drove a 1969 orange SuperBee in high school. They say his presence made their days a little brighter.
He was a dedicated truck driver for DeNoon Lumber and a former employee at Buckeye Coal. Jeff's passion was restoring classic cars, his latest pride and joy was the 1968 Barracuda. He was also a Mopar fan. Jeff was quite a story teller to the point that a person would believe the stories were non-fiction.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 41 years, Christina (Gregor) Mader, his daughter Tracy (Charlie) Rago of Steubenville and granddaughters, Alexis and Ainslie Oiler, his sisters, Patricia and Caroline (Kelly) Mader, his brother, Larry (Alberta) Mader, brother-in-law Robert (Terri) Gregor, sister-in-law's, Lynette (Carl) Griffin, Terry Zapor and her companion, John Buzzard, and mother-in-law Elaine Gregor. Jeff had many nieces and nephews whom he shared his storytelling with great joy. Jeff also was a great friend to Glenn Moore since grade school.
In addition to his parents, Jeff is preceded in death by his siblings, Donald "Spider" Mader and Anna Mae (Fred) Nixon. Also, his sister and brother-in-law Colleen (Richard) Barnes. In-laws, Nelson and Dorothy Gregor, brother-in-law, Nelson Gregor, Jr. and Jeff recently lost his companion Golden Retriever Madonna whom he loved dearly.
Jeff gave the gift of life through organ and tissue donation.
Jeff was a lover of animals and donations can be made to The Jefferson County Humane Society.
Private arrangements were entrusted to Everhart-Bove Funeral Homes. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Church of God, 8247 Bear Road SE,
Amsterdam, OH on Sunday, September 8th, 2024 from 2pm-4pm. All are welcome to come and celebrate.
