Jerry W. Carter, 56, of Wintersville, OH, passed away suddenly April 21, 2019.

Born November 10, 1962 in Steubenville, OH, son of the late Henry W. and Leanore (Dunn) Carter.

Jerry graduated from Springfield High School in 1981.

He was a former member of the Toronto Community Band.

Jerry dedicated 30 years of his life to the steel industry, most recently working at Mountain State Carbon in Follansbee, WV.

In addition to being a loving father, brother, and uncle, Jerry enjoyed landscape design and home renovation.  Always the life of the party and quick to make a joke, Jerry was beloved by many.

He is preceded in death by his parents, infant son Derek and three brothers, Richard, Henry, and Kenneth Carter.

Jerry is survived by his sons, Jared (Kelsee) Carter and Devon Carter; sisters, Kathy (Jim) Robinson, Joyce (Jim) Burkey, and Lois (Dave) Hope; brother, Ralph (Cheri) Carter; many beloved nieces and nephews; and grand puppy, Bailee.

Friends will be received at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Rd., Wintersville on Thursday from 4 PM until time of funeral services at 7 PM with Pastor Mike Mantos officiating.
