Jim Sommers, 73, of Wintersville, OH, passed away on July 11, 2015 at Life Line Hospital, Wintersville.

He was born July 25, 1941 in Steubenville, OH, a son of the late Lou and Eileen (Saunders) Sommers.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brother, Lou Sommers.

Jim was a member of the Brentwood Methodist Church, Wintersville.

He is survived by his wife, Christine F. (Sloane) Sommers; brothers, Dan (Kathy) Sommers of Ormond Beach, Florida and Skeeter Sommers of Wintersville, OH; sisters, Sis McBroom of West Palm Beach, Florida, Sandy (Tony) Reducha of Bloomingdale, OH, Janie Icuss of Hoboken, NJ, Cindy (Mike) Diserio of Wintersville, OH, and Carol (John) Viltro of Wintersville, OH; special friends, Rich and Cheryl Miller of Richmond, OH; his buddy Max; many nieces, nephews, friends, and the Sloane family.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Figel, Trinity Medical Center West, and Life Line Doctors and staff.

Private services have been entrusted to Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, Wintersville.
