JIMMIE R. EYNON, 77, of Bergholz, OH, passed away at the Valley Hospice North in Steubenville, Oh, Monday, April 5, 2010. He was born in Bergholz, OH, February 21, 1933, a son of the late Daniel and Dorothy Jane (Reese) Eynon. Jimmie retired as a coal miner from the Y&O Coal Mine Nelms #1 and was a member of the United Mine Workers Assn. He served in the US Marine Corps and was stationed in Korea during wartime. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 442, Salineville. He is survived by his wife of over 53 years, Patricia Valerio Eynon whom he married August 25, 1956; by three daughters, Dottie Medley and husband Brian of Bloomingdale, OH, Peggy Jo Starn and companion, Myles Londergan of Amsterdam, OH, and Pattiann Gordon and husband Jim of Virginia Beach, VA; by a sister, Rosemary Green, Bergholz, by 8 grandchildren, Erin Griffith, Justin Higgins, Jamie Starn, Darci Starn, Michael Taczak, Jayme Gordon, Daniel Gordon and Roni Gordon and 5 great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 285 Second St., Bergholz on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM where a Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 AM Thursday. Full Military Honors will be held at 11 AM Thursday at the funeral home by the Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad. Interment will be in the Bergholz Cemetery at a later date.
