John Joseph "Jack" Brandon, 82 of East Springfield, Ohio passed away Tuesday, August 07, 2007 at Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville. He was a retired pipe fitter with Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel. Jack was also a WWII veteran of the US Army and a protestant by faith. Jack loved his children and enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and gardening.
Jack was born June 28, 1925 in Bellaire, Ohio, a son of the late Charles W. and Nellie Brandon. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son John J. Brandon, Jr., and a brother Lionel Douglas.
He is survived by his loving wife Dorothy Boyer Brandon, whom he married June 13, 1953, three sons; Charles Brandon of Malvern, OH, Tim Brandon of East Springfield, OH, and Brett (Lori) Brandon of Toronto, OH. Three daughters; Debi Osz of Steubenville, OH, Brenda (Joe) Moran of Steubenville, OH and Darla (Jason) Frankenberry of Gambier, OH. One brother, Charles W. Brandon, Jr. of Shadyside, OH and one sister Margie Nash of Weirton, WV. 14 grandchildren, Paul, Brett, Adam, Sarah, Tim, Chelsea, Shelby, Haleigh, Robert, Jamie, Jessica, Jaycob, Kyle, Courtney, and Trevor. 7 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 110 West Main St., Richmond on Thursday from 6-8 PM and on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Services will be at the funeral home Saturday at 1 PM with Pastor Gary Lilly officiating. Burial will follow at Fort Steuben Burial Estates with military honors.
