John Kenneth Cook, 60, of Steubenville, OH, passed away June 29, 2018 at Alter Care of Adena.

He was born January 18, 1958 in Steubenville, OH, a son of the late Zane and Mary (Vanderpool) Cook, Sr.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Michelle Lynn Cook; and brothers, Charles Merritt, Virgil Merritt and Zane W. Cook, Jr.

He served his country in the United States Army.

John was a member of the Restoration Church and worked at Timet.

He is survived by his daughter, Melissa (Adam) Cihon; son, Zane T. Cook; sisters, Charlotte (Robert) Huggins, Gilda (Steve) Boyer, Linda (Tom) Hoover, and Connie (Mike) LaRue; sister-in-law, Judy Merritt; and grandchildren, Nicholas, Isaiah, Hayden, and Ellie.

Friends will be received at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Rd., Wintersville on Monday from 2 PM until time of funeral services at 7 PM with Pastor Gary Lilly officiating.
