JOHN WESLEY ELLIOTT, 62, of Amsterdam, OH, died Sunday, November 20, 2005 in Shadyside, OH. He was a Vietnam veteran of the US Army and a Protestant. He was born August 1, 1943 in Bergholz, OH, a son of the late Thomas C. and Stella Mae (Staten) Elliott. He is also preceded in death by a son, Todd Elliott who died in 1980, one brother, Wilbur and sister, Mary Petty. He is survived by a daughter, Billie Jo Elliott, Shadyside, two brothers, Earl Elliott, Sr., and David Elliott, both of Amsterdam, a sister, Beverly (Robert) Clancey, Wintersville and 3 grandchildren. Memorial services are at 2 PM Sunday at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 287 Second St., Bergholz with Pastor Chris Current officiating. Military honors are in charge of the Amsterdam VFW.
