John C. Forbes, 89, of Wintersville, Ohio, passed away on June 5, 2025. He was born on August 10, 1935, in Mingo Junction, Ohio, to the late Kenneth and Hazel (Crawford) Forbes. In addition to his parents, John is preceded in death by his twin sister, Jane DiGeorge of Las Vegas, Nevada.

John was a U.S. Army Veteran and a proud retiree of Weirton Steel Corporation, where he worked in the Blooming Mill. He was a member of the 25 Year Club.

He was an avid classic car enthusiast, who spent countless hours working in his garage. He loved watching Nascar races and landscaping his yard.

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Marilyn (Griffith) Forbes; his son, Ken Forbes; his daughter, Stacy (Patrick) Gurrera; and his grandchildren, Malieka and Brynli Gurrera.

He will be greatly missed and forever loved by his family.
