John "Alby" E. Grimes, 61, of Steubenville, OH, passed away November 17, 2017 at Trinity Medical Center West ER.

John was born September 29, 1956 in Steubenville, OH, a son of the late Bernard O. and Norma Jean (Bohmer) Grimes.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brothers, Don and David Grimes and nephew, Jarrod Grimes.

John was a member of the East Springfield United Methodist Church of the Cross.

He was a truck driver for Anthony Mining.

John was an avid Pittsburgh sports and the Ohio State fan.

He is survived by his brothers, Ron (Pat) Grimes of East Springfield, OH and Joe (Carol) Grimes of Amsterdam, OH; sister-in-law, Terri Grimes of Toronto, OH; many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received on Monday from 4-8 PM at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 110 W. Main St., Richmond where funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 AM with Pastor Sam Davis officiating.

Burial will follow at East Springfield Cemetery.
