John W. Hager 87, of Steubenville, Ohio passed away November 10, 2021. He was born March 22, 1934 in Ingram Branch, WV, a son of the late Wilber and Sarah (Powell) Hager. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Hager; sister, Nancy Riley; a grandchild, Jessica. He was a Veteran of the US Army and was retired from Weirton Steel. John attended Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

John is survived by his wife of 67 years, Mary (Yost) Hager; two sons, John R. (Lynne) Hager of Weirton, WV and Mark S. Hager of Follansbee, WV; daughter, Karen Hager of Follansbee, WV; sister, Patricia Hemmingway of Florida; grandchildren, Amanda, Mike, Stephanie, and Nadine; great-grandchildren, Caitlyn, Braden, Brice, Aubrey, Colt, Brody, Adonis and Hassan.

Friends will be received at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Rd, Wintersville on Saturday from 11 AM until time of services at 1 PM. Burial will follow at Fort Steuben Burial Estates.
